CONDITIONS, SOURCES & CONFIDENCE

Know what the forecast can tell you.

Your address selects a forecast area

A precise job pin does not make a weather model street-resolution. Forecasts represent a surrounding grid; a nearby station observation represents that station. The app shows source times, coverage and station distance where available.

Observed, forecast and projected

Current station measurements and past radar are observations. Hourly weather and future radar are forecasts. A forecast image is never presented as a frame of radar observations. Missing, stale or unavailable data stays visible.

Minutes, hours and the coming weeks

The Free app uses public U.S. forecasts for hourly planning and the coming week. Pro supports additional minute and extended forecasts when an approved feed is available for that location. Unsupported periods remain unavailable. Refreshing the app more often does not make the source update faster.

Minute-level rain timing is uncertain. Days 8–14 are planning guidance, not a street-level promise or a product application clearance. Rain probability, rainfall amount and intensity describe different things; one is not substituted for another.

Weather plus the product and surface

Company tolerances are your planning preferences. Manufacturer requirements come from a specific product document and revision. A forecast cannot measure a wet deck, substrate temperature, moisture content, pavement dryness or pesticide drift at the nozzle. Those checks need current field readings.

Application, wrap, protection and cure periods all matter. When coverage ends, a product source conflicts, or a field reading expires, the assessment explains the missing check instead of assuming the work is within requirements.

A record of reasonable care

Photos and weather receipts document what was available at the time. A file hash helps identify an unchanged uploaded file; it does not prove that a camera clock, location or submitted observation was correct. Manufacturer review in the catalog means a source was checked internally, not that the manufacturer endorsed ContractorWeather.
